Add a short description for each of your two outfits - colours, textures, key pieces, footwear. You source and bring your own wardrobe - there's no stylist on set. Two outfits, decided and described now, works far better on the day than arriving with extra options to choose between, so it's worth locking in what you'll actually wear before you submit.
Submit your details
Add your name, email, Instagram handle, and your modelling experience, then send it through. If your chosen slot is still free, it's held for you immediately, and your application goes to Metty for a look before it's confirmed. If someone else has just taken it in the meantime, you'll get an email straight away with alternatives - nothing is lost.
Private account? Add a link to a portfolio, agency profile, or anywhere your work is visible under "Other links". If Metty can't see who he'd be working with, he may ask for a few extra images before confirming, that's a standard applied to every booking, not just yours.Your slot is held while it's reviewed
The moment you apply, that slot is yours, nobody else can take it while a decision's being made. Metty personally looks over every application before confirming, this is a genuine check, not a formality, and it's why the outfit details, Instagram, and any other links actually matter. Most applications are reviewed quickly. Once approved, you'll get a real confirmation email with everything attached, so use an email address you actually check, that email is the only place the exact time, place, and every other detail lives.
Tip - once confirmed, tap the calendar invite to add it directly to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. No app required. Booked at a studio? You'll get a separate follow-up email closer to the day with exact directions, which entrance to use, and which door once you're inside.A reminder, two days out
48 hours before your session, you'll get a reminder email with the date, time, location, and styles confirmed - so it's front of mind and there's nothing to double check. If you applied with less than 48 hours' notice, there isn't time for a separate reminder, so the same details are already included in your confirmation email instead.
Need to cancel or move your session?
Every confirmation and reminder email includes a link to manage your booking. Follow it to either cancel outright or move to a different open time - you'll be asked a quick reason for cancelling, just so Metty has context, then he's notified automatically and the calendar invite updates to match. Cancelling frees the slot up for someone else immediately.
Meeting, and your first look
Arrive a few minutes early at the meeting point from your confirmation email, already in your first outfit, with the rest ready to change into. We usually start right there, often in whatever you arrived wearing, to ease into the session.
Moving through your looks
From there we shift through nearby locations as we shoot. Roughly an hour in, we move on to your next look, though the timing flexes depending on how a location or a look is going, or if you've brought a third outfit that needs fitting in.
Direction, and making it yours
I'll encourage you to try things you might not usually do, and I'm also happy to direct when it helps. Nothing is ever forced. If something doesn't feel right, we simply won't do it, but I will push you towards things you're curious to try. Movement matters more than a perfect pose. Standing still rarely makes for an interesting frame, and sometimes the strangest, most unexpected shapes end up being the most interesting shots of the day.

Once time's up, you're free to make your own way to wherever you're headed next. No lingering, no admin, the session just ends naturally.
Editing and delivery
Afterward I go through every frame, select the strongest images, and edit them properly. Once that's done, you'll get an email with a Lightroom gallery link, so you can view everything and download whichever images you want, whenever suits you.
A few questions
New to modelling, or feeling nervous about a first shoot?
You don't need prior experience. I work with first-time subjects as often as full-time working models; at its core, this is about practice, understanding how you carry yourself in front of a camera, and building or refreshing your portfolio. A steady breath, a willingness to feel a little silly, and a good sense of humour will take you further than experience ever could. At its best, the dynamic between model and photographer is genuinely enjoyable and often very funny, and the moment you get comfortable stepping outside your usual comfort zone is usually when the strongest images happen.
Who are these sessions for?
This project is exclusively for modelling - for people exploring whether it's something they want to pursue, New Face models building a first portfolio, and working models after fresh work. It's not intended for people who just want content for their own social media, even though the images will naturally work there too. If that's what you're after, take a look at the Commissions page instead.
Is there an age requirement?
You need to be 18 or older to attend a session alone. 16 and 17 year olds are welcome, but only with someone aged 21 or over present for the full session.
What if it rains?
I'm happy to shoot in most weather, rain included. If you'd rather wait for a drier day, let me know and I'll move you to the next available slot as quickly as I can.
How many outfits should I bring?
Two, decided and described when you apply rather than a growing list to choose between on the day. Two genuinely well-considered outfits give a clean, focused session, and keeps the day itself about the shoot rather than wardrobe changes.
What happens to the photos afterward?
Every image is reviewed, the strongest selected, and properly edited. Delivery typically takes two to three weeks, sent as a Lightroom gallery link so you can view everything and download whichever images you'd like, whenever suits you. If three weeks pass without word, follow up and I'll look into it straight away.
Can I bring a friend, or my own stylist or makeup artist?
Absolutely. You're welcome to bring a chaperone, friend, stylist, or makeup artist, just mention it in advance so the day can be planned around an extra person.
Who leads the creative direction?
Direction on the day comes from me, though I want your personality and instincts woven into it too. If something isn't landing or you're unsure what's being asked, say so; questions are welcome throughout the shoot, not only beforehand.
What if I want to stop, or something doesn't feel right?
Say so straight away and we stop. Attending a session confirms your consent to be photographed, and that consent can be withdrawn at any point, for any reason. Anything shot up to that moment remains part of the session, but nothing further is taken.
How are the images used afterward?
Images from the session go towards your portfolio and Metty's. You're also welcome to use them on your personal social media, moodboards, personal website, and with your modelling agency for your profile or book. They're not for resale or commercial use, and printing is limited to portfolio use only. They shouldn't be re-edited, retouched, or run through filters, presets, or AI tools by anyone other than Metty, and please don't upload them to any AI platform. When you post them, credit Metty Unuabona, either as a joint collaboration post or a tag. Anything beyond this, magazine or press use, for example, needs a quick conversation with Metty first. Full detail is confirmed as part of booking.
Are outdoor locations safe?
Every outdoor location is a public, well-used part of London. First sessions together always begin with a meeting in a public space, never somewhere private or enclosed. If it puts you more at ease, share the location and timing with a friend or family member beforehand.
